YEAH...no discussion of YES is complete without ROUNDABOUT...the best lineup of YES. Jon Anderson voc, Steve HOWE guitar, Rick Wakeman, guitar, Chris Squire bass, Alan White perc OK--to be honest, my fave percussionist is Bill Bruford. But he was kicking ass in King Crimson at this time. Alan White is very talented...not the kind of drop off in talent they got when they had Tony Kaye on keyboards, as opposed to Rick Wakeman. And later on, they had Trevor Rabin on guitar in the 1980s. Who is a decent guitarist in his own right, but no comparison to Steve Howe, one of the all time greats. I saw them all live in the Union Tour in the 1990s...the only one of the eight guys who played up on stage who was below par in talent was Tony Kaye. And compared to other bands of his era, he wasnt bad. SO I wont rip on him or Trevor Rabin. Cause for awhile I said Trevor Rabin SUCKED. HE doesnt. Just nobody has the polish of a Steve Howe. NOBODY can outplay Steve HOWE. OR Rick Wakeman. IMHO. youtube/watch?v=qjvGzxnUDuM
