YEARLY REPORT TO THE PEOPLE OF BGY. DON BOSCO Today (Oct. 28) marks my one year as your Kagawad. I am making it my duty to report to you my performance record, not to solicit praise, but in deference to your right to know as a resident and voting public. All list of accomplishments can be found here as I have posted everything (just scroll down my timeline for verification). I have also included my failures as a Kagawad as well. Please be discerning and I thank you for your continued trust and support. As Legislator: - Proposed a total of 18 Ordinances and Resolutions re Traffic, Zoning, Security - Passed a total of 4 Resolutions re Zoning - Passed 1 Ordinance re Truck Ban (But is pending in the City Council) - Opposed SMDC plan to make DSA it condo entrance/exit point - Solved 4 Trike Issues as complained by residents in cooperation with Toda - Set Up a Free Legal Consultation Desk for Indigents and Residents (now defunct) - Conducted 7 Public Hearings when I was Chair of Traffic Committee - Conducted 5 Public Hearings when I was Chair of Zoning and Land Use - Initiated the Construction of the New FSerrano Dedication Library - Initiated the Construction of the FSerrano SPED and Toy Library - Launched the FSerrano Literary Awards for Young Writers n Poets - Launched the Libreng Pa-Picture sa Recognition Day (FSerrano) As Public Servant: - Donated Cash Award to Best Traffic Enforcers when I was Traffic Chair - Established my first Scholar (daughter of taho vendor) studying in IMMA - Donated 2 Wall Fans (Day Care Center 2) - Donated 1 Reception Table (Day Care Center 2) - Donated 2 Wall Fans (Day Care Maralit GK Malakanyang) - Donated Radio (FSerrano Guardpost) - Donated Sports Equipments (FSerrano) - Donated 2 Wheelchairs (El Dorado Clinic) - Donated Saklays to several recipients in mission areas - Donated Books to FSerrano Library and Don Bosco High - Feeding Program to Residents of Santos Compound - Feeding Program to various mission areas in Batican and Sitio Gtna - Donated Grocery and Clothing to Fire Victims in Santos Compound - Donated Grocery and Clothing to fire victims of CWI Facilitated the Donation of Concerned Residents of BLS - Donation of 1 Hospital Bed to DBHS (Fontanilla Family) - Donation of Med Supplies and Suction Machine to El Dorado (Fontanilla) - Donation of thousands of Books to DBHS, FSerrano and to mission areas (Donated by Residents of Better Living) - Completed the Book Drive for the Library of Don Bosco High School thru the help of residents of BLS (You know who you are...) List of Failures - Failure to pass laws that would have helped in the alleviation of traffic, security, beautification and transport problems - Failure to bridge political differences in the council - Failure to bridge the gap between the Barangays rich and poor residents due to inadequate information campaign on my part - Failure to ask for a more transparent bgy government re finance and operations - Failure to set up a more meaningful and effective opposition in the council - Failure to ask Comelec for a better information drive on New Voter Registration - Failure to request the City Government for meaningful projects for BDB - Failure to enact stricter measures and concrete actions re BLS security I hope to correct these failures in the coming second year of my term.
