YES, A reason to attend Masonic Lodge Meetings and being on the sidelines is because of the opportunity to meet interesting Brother Masons I met an interesting and Notable MN Freemason at The Last Cataract Lodge Meeting His name Kenny Hanson; He was a Pow in Korea and became the National President 2009-2010 of the organization American Ex-Prisoner of War. In some spare time he may be seen at Mpls SR Temple i was told he wears a Red Hat... His father Edward Hanson served in WW 1 Mr Hanson was raised a Master Mason Apr 1965 at Richfield Lodge #334 and was appointed to the progressive line in 1976 by WB Joe Whetstone; Becoming WM in 1982. He served as High Priest of St Johns Chapter #9 RAM in 1980 and as Associate Guardian of Bethel #1 Jobs Daughters in 1979. Brother Hanson served as Worthy Patron of Richfield Chapter 293 OES -Order of Eastern Star in 1990 and again in 1993 and in Harmony Chapter # 8 in 1992. WB Kenneth Hanson also served as the building custodian for the lodge 1986 to 1993. Kenneth H. What a magnificent presentation. Commander Hanson spoke about civilian prisoners of war from WWII, from Korea (his war) and from Vietnam. All were treated by their captors as prisoners.
