YES FOLKS THATS RIGHT ITS TUESDAY! But sadly the news was nor good nor bad as the No Direction Football Club has had a thrilling 6 all draw tonight with Team Awesome in tuesday night mens soccer. A big loss pre game loss as Michael Chapman pulled out due to an apparent hospital stay #weak but it didnt dampen the team spirits as 2 players arrived on the opening whistle and Alex Reddrop-Birchmore decided he would show up 3 minutes into the game. With the late players you wouldnt blame the team for falling behind early but James Addy put in the hard yards in the first half and put in a strong performance and set up Harley Smith for 2 early goals before the game was pulled away by Daniel Mould as he hit 2 goals of his own to put the team a few goals clear. Brodie Bennett in goals was unable to stop another one as a goalkeeping/defensive error allowed the opposition to pull within a goal with 18 seconds to go in the first half. At the break the team was deep in discussion on ways to get further ahead in the game but it was to no avail as an early goal put the teams level with 10 minutes to play. As everyone thought the game would just fizzle out the Beef Train let out a loud TOOT as he went down the field and smashed the ball into the back of the net and sent the 3 people in the crowd into a frenzy with coach Karyn Peacock saying That was possibly the greatest goal ive ever seen how is he still single #blushes 2 lapses in defence late saw the team go behind late in the game with a dubious advantage call from the ref allowing the opposition to hit the front albeit in unreasonable circumstances. The team kept trying and trying and Mouldy squandered many opportunities but in the dying minutes after crashing onto the nets and many legs including Jake Stevenson the ball came free and the keeper came out and it was a poor decision as the ball came off many things as it rolled into the goals and went down as an own goal although Jake claimed it but those who were there knew what happened. With 3 minutes remaining Smith and Bennett switched but unlike last week there would be no goals let through as Bennett pulled out a number of big saves to deny Team awesome including some massive defensive pressure in the final 10 seconds as teams were left to wonder what could have been as the final whistle sounded and the teams had to settle for a point. The team is now 0-1-2 still without a win this season and will be hoping to get on that winners list next week with a 730 game against Blaze.
