YES I am pontificating right now! A little lesson about where I live. I live in a COUNTRY called South Africa. SA is on a continent called AFRICA. So.. no dude.. I did not meet up with your brother when he visited AFRICA.. I mean seriously.. he went to another country called Kenya which is around 4800km from me!!! Yes.. I do live in the southern part of the African continent but it is a COUNTRY. The African CONTINENT is made of of many countries.. each with their own culture and language. In South Africa.. English is one of the languages we speak.. either as a first or 2nd, 3rd or 4th language.. as many Africans speak many different African languages. There are countries on this continent that speak French too. As for keeping lions, elephants or giraffes as pets.. seriously?? Firstly.. that would be cruel.. my back yard is not big enough. Secondly.. do you think that I want to be breakfast for a lion? The land I stay on is large.. but could not sustain 1 elephant or giraffe. All our wild animals are now kept in reserves or game parks. There are some that roam free where there is not much human population.. but lions are only seen roaming around when they break free which is rare! I live in a modern country.. in a house made of brick and concrete.. I dont live in a grass shack. We have all the latest technology .. and the latest cars too.. so no.. I do not ride an elephant to go to the next village to barter goods. We have roads.. proper tar roads.. and freeways and highways. I have landed in 7 countries in Europe and visited 5 of them.. so when I say I have been to Europe I mention the country I visited. To all that have taken time to read this.. thank you.. and when you say you have been in Africa or want to visit Africa.. please know that the continent I stay on is HUGE.. and rather mention the country so that I know where you are speaking about :D. PS: I wrote this on a keyboard attached to a computer.. this was not sent via bush telegraph ;) :D :P
