THIS is how far our Federal Government has gone to keep flood victims from getting their flood insurance payments: Under FEMA’s rule, a portion of the damage was allotted to `the flood contributing to differential movement of supporting soils. FEMA paid no compensation on those damages. In other words, FEMA claims the FLOOD didnt DIRCTLY cause the damage that created the large crevices in the ground and therefore broke apart their homes; it was the earth movement that did that, which was caused by the flood. So, theyre not paying out.
