YES Susan CAN! ( Day # 13 of my journey toward health) Aug 10 UPDATE: Im so proud that I survived a very busy weekend ON TRACK! ( down 11 lbs in 12 days & noticed that I really DO have cheekbones and a jaw under this round face!) ACHIEVEMENT: Yesterday was a day that perhaps could or should have temporarily derailed me Im learning to plan and prepare ahead. Little by little Im learning that I can choose wisely in order to continue forward progress and developing good habitsf . They take they say it takes 18 times to become a habit Im finishing week 2 of what is about 3 weeks of forming habits. So we all know that when we are out and about and busy it is easy to choose to stop and grab something quick and not so healthy to eat. Yesterday I was gone from home from 8:30 a.m. To 08:00 p.m.. I had planned to have two meals out. I told myself ahead of time that I was going to choose healthy foods but I forgot that I was going to hit afternoon snack time with an entire grocery store to choose from! I started the day armed with my breakfast Im a cup.( coconut milk, strawberries, pineapple, spinach & ViShape). My friend & I chose a Salad restaurant for lunch,. Then we spent our visiting time on a beautiful walk at UCD Arboretum. Later on while shopping Drew & I went straight for the fresh fruit & had a little cheese to keep us going until Dinner. I love that restaurant chains are adding Light Fare choices to their menus! (All in all a healthy day in spite of on the fly choices) BLESSINGS: I am happier on a daily basis. Learning myself a tiny bit more as I grow in this process. AND an unexpected blessing of hearing from sweet friends who are sharing that they find inspiration Because Im sharing my journey NEW DISCOVERIES: Because of 3 things ( clean diet, water, exercise) Im seeing small but noticeable changes ( beyond # on scale & changes in my shape) * lack of energy lows & cravings * No more under eye circles * Increasingly even skin-tone * improved moods/ patience * no more ashy/flaky legs * cracked heels softened & healing * still no Headaches! TO IMPROVE: * Get to bed earlier *Strive for early AM pre-work exercise ( Because LIFE HAPPENS!) *Fit in snacks to keep metabolism fired up!
