YESTERDAY THOUSANDS OF TEACHERS PROTESTED IN DIRECTORATE OF SCHOOL EDUCATION FOR PAY RELEASE OF SSA AND OTHER ISSUES OF TEACHERS.ON THE ASSURANCE OF HON’BLE DY. CHIEF MINISTER/ EDUCATION MINISTER PROTEST POST OPENED TILL 30TH JUNE, OTHERWISE PROTEST & COMPLETE SHUT DOWN IN THE SCHOOLS ON 1ST JULY 2013. Thousands of teachers gathered under the banner of JK teachers Forum at Directorate of School Education Kashmir Srinagar and the protest was led by Senior Leader JCC President EJAC, Chairman JK teachers Forum, The protest was for non payment of salary outstanding for 3 to 7 months to SSA teachers, R.E.T.’s, EV’s and problems of R.E.T’s, EV’s , Adhoc , contractual teachers & migrant substitutes were highlighted. As per programme the protest was to be carried to press enclave, but due to positive assurance of Hon’ble Dy. Chief Minister cum Education Minister Sh Tara Chand Ji it was culminatedin the lawn of Directorate and Hon’ble Dy. Chief Minister sought 15 days time for the resolution of demands put before him especially release of pay. Should the Govt. fail to uphold its promisethere will be complete shut down in the schools of valley and a massive protest rally shall be carried on 1st July 2013. Besides the office of SPD shall be locked it was also vowed that the programme of 21st and 22nd June Chalked out by JCC shall be made successful. It is in place to mention that keeping in view the exemplary and outstanding performance of Hon’ble Dy. Chief Minister Sh Tara Chand Ji was appreciated and in view of that protest rally was not taken to press enclave. Mr. Ab.
