YET ANOTHER SECULAR CONFESSION AND ADMISSION: I still completely believe in the words of Anne Frank who wrote in her Diary that despite everything that has happened people are basically good at heart. I also still completely believe in what I wrote in my mini-autobiography that the institutions that now control society bring out the worst in people. It is hard to keep a positive attitude about both the world and people, both politically and personally, when so many ugly things are going on across the globe and in my own life. I do not ask for pity, so please dont dismiss my commentaries as pleas for pity. I have no family to speak of, so I rely on my activist friends in the peace movement for advice, friendship, companionship, love and recognition. I hope I have not been bugging people with my posts about my personal problems and my frustrations about not being able to get out to the protests for Gaza, Guantanamo, Iraq etc. All I ask for is for people to continue to offer advice, good will, good wishes and various kinds of secular and spiritual blessings, good vibes and energy that will help me move forward to recovery.
