YOGA PRACTICE HELPS KEEP THE CHAKRAS IN BALANCE When you practice yoga you recharge and balance your entire body. You dont need to know or believe anything about the chakras to practice yoga. The life energy in your body will circulate more efficiently in the practice of yoga, no matter how you view it. The second chakra is called Svadisthana and is located along the plane of the sacrum in the lower abdomen. This chakra influences the hips, sacral area, low back, abdominal organs and the genitals. This chakra has a profound impact on your emotional body, creativity, confidence, your ability to enjoy pleasure and experience intimacy on many levels. All of the hip opening postures influence this chakra and help maintain its balance. This week we will be exploring the poses that will help you open up this energy center of the body and improve your overall health. I look forward to playing with you all.
