The need for solitude, reflection, and a spiritual practice increases and the holistic practice of yoga can help to balance the endocrine system, and regulate hormonal and glandular shifts. Come join us for an evening of learning how to use yoga to relieve hot flashes, alleviate anxiety, mood swings, fatigue and depression, strengthen bones and increase cardiovascular health. Open yourself to the beauty and grace of this profound change through the practice of yoga. Sandy Carmellini is the director of Brentwood Yoga Center and a graduate from the Advanced Studies Teacher Program at the Yoga Room in Berkeley. She has been teaching yoga since 1998 locally and around the globe. Her 18 years of experience as a corporate facilitator adds to her passion and expertise in training and educating people. Her background in dance influences her teaching style in which she incorporates detail and precision in movement and breath. Her classes are accepting, creative and always educational. Classes are taught primarily in the Iyengar method which focuses on creating healthy movement and balance in the body by using props to allow comfort, stability, and safety in yoga poses.Sandy believes that a healthy lifestyle combined with healthy movement and attention to breath brings balance to the body, mind, and spirit. brentwoodyogacenter/workshops
