YOO HOO! Most people oppose irradiation of food due I surmise to having less / different information than I do. Also, having with no science in their background they do not even know what is involved so they simply fear an unknown; one they have heard scary rumors about. I am a scientist I both condone, and expect irradiation of ALL imported foods. When I shop I try to buy from only the mega corporations I shop for brand names; I always have since they use the most technology and are more likely to have irradiated imports available for me. For any food activist to oppose irradiation is silly IMHO: just make both types available is all, forget about banning stuff. DUH! BTW: My health is excellent always has been, always will be. My concern is about immediate every day hazards like being infected by imported food grown by people who put poop in their gardens salmonella is a polite way of saying POOP - SHIT- FECAL MATTER. Due to the death trap of using traditional cultivation I may not live long enough to develop cancers from irradiated food! YES I APPROVE OF IRRADIATING ALL IMPORTED FOODS.
