YOU CAN NOT DESTROY CROSS RIVER STATE The fate of our dear state - TopicsExpress

YOU CAN NOT DESTROY CROSS RIVER STATE The fate of our dear state is uncertain politically and economically, but just to say the rough truth that she is doomed. l know very well that the praise singers and the sycophants will not hold their breath rather than attacking this post. Notwithstanding, you cant kill the truth. You can not for any reason destroy what our great heroes have laboured to put in place over the years. We all understand that the choice, otherwise the election of peoples representatives especially a state governor is a collective effort of every citizen of the state of 18 years and above. The decision of he that feels is a small god and too harden to do the undo by imposing a governor on the entire state shall by all standard be resisted by good people of the state, by our late heroes watching the drama in anger from the other side of world and by the Almighty God. Dont destroy this state because of your selfish interest and that of your absurd lieutenants. Let the people decide who governs them as the tradition is in a modern democratic and civilised societies. Let us not forget in a hurry the activities and antecedents of Late General Sani Abacha and the aftermath of his dictatorial tendencies. Remember Field Marshal Idi Amin Dada, Remember Charles Tarlor and remember as well Col Muamar Gadafi. There is always a pay back time. lf not today but tomorrow, if not by the oppressed but by God who is the greatest judge. The impostors may have it all today but they should as well remember that greater number of Cross Riverians are angry, oppressed and aggrieved and they should not forget that there is God ooo. It would have been more honourably and celebrated if you quit the stage as ELDER STATESMAN and unbiased umpire rather than sowing a seed of discord and creating more enemies rather than having more friends. His Excellencies, Mr Clement Ebri and Mr Donald Duke are the proud of a better and a greater cross river because they respect the wishes of the people and the rule of law. Take a look at our sister state of Akwa Ibom, the scenario here would have played its urgly head there considering the great achievements of the man at the centre there. He has all it takes to settle for consensus (though he has the one he supports), he did not truncate the process but allows a plain ground exercise for all aspirants to test their popularity. Why must you treat some persons as if they are not from this state? Dont destroy our state. Your Predecessor had all the power at his disposal to have hand over to his deputy or one of his Lieutenants or made you a consensus candidate. Yet he did not but allowed the will of the people prevailed. Thats why he still earn our admiration in that regards. A great leader he is, believe it or not. Power belongs to God and he does not compromise is standard. Let me borrow the words of our great compatriots of the then NADECO, una go pay for una sins, if not today but tomorrow as a way of conclusion.
