YOU HAVE SOMETHING “And Elisha said unto her, What shall I do for thee? tell me, what hast thou in the house? And she said, Thine handmaid hath not any thing in the house, save a pot of oil.” (2 Kings 4:2) The odds seemed to weigh heavily against her. She was a widow, insolvent, and an inheritor of a bankrupt estate. The creditors were about to seize her two sons as pledge for the family debt. The widow cried out to Elisha. “Tell me, what hast thou in the house?” the prophet enquired. You see, your miracle begins from what you have in hand already. Moses had only a rod, Samson a jawbone, and the widow a pot of oil. Yet she said, “I have nothing in the house, only a pot of oil”. How typical! Like this widow, when faced with academic challenges, inability to pay your school fees, or sickness, you probably surrendered to despair. When a financial roadblock stood on your way into higher institution admission you just gave up because, “I have nothing”. But you have something! You have the privilege of prayer. You have the unfailing promises of God Who answers prayer. You have your brain. You have access to local and international scholarships and grants on the internet. Above all, you have a vision to succeed. Stop whining. Use what you have and see what great results will follow. Challenge: What you have is the seed for your miracle!
