YOU MUST PARTICIPATE IN FICTION You know they say if you want to be a good writer, you have to immerse yourself in stories: movies, books, etc. But some people Ive met dont even read. They want to be writers, but they arent even readers. Thats insane. Or they havent even seen the videos of last years Academy Award winners. Im writing a apocalyptic novel right now. So, I watch any movie that I can on the subject. And Ive read a lot of books. If a new one came out (that wasnt slush pile), Id buy it and read it. I just saw Goodbye World starring, well...no one anyone would know. Nevertheless, I watched it. youtu.be/VlULt_4Oz8w It was a ridiculous concept of liberal, progressive, and permissive people surviving the breakdown of society. I get nauseated just remembering the film. Nevertheless, I saw it, and it has rounded my education in all things post-apocalyptic. Ive never seen or read a dystopian story from that point of view.
