YOU NEED TO KNOW THIS BEFORE YOURE FOOLED! TOMORROW IS APRIL FOOL DAY RIGHT?? In sixteenth-century France, the start of the new year was observed on April first. It was celebrated in much the same way as it is today with parties and dancing into the late hours of the night. Then in 1562, Pope Gregory introduced a new calendar for the Christian world, and the new year fell on January first. There were some people, however, who hadnt heard or didnt believe the change in the date, so they continued to celebrate New Years Day on April first. Others played tricks on them and called them April fools. They sent them on a fools errand or tried to make them believe that something false was true. In other narrations, they said that, those that didnt agree with the change brought by the Pope then were labelled as the fools... Yeah fools! WHATSOEVER, and Regardless of the origin of April Fools Day it is about telling lies in jest (in a joking manner just have fun). However telling lies in jest is haraam as it contradicts the guidance of the prophet Muhammad, the prophet Muhammed joked but never involved lies. Lying in Islam is strictly haraam (forbidden) whether the one who does it is joking or is serious. In Islam this day is haram for Muslims to be involved in has this day justifies lying and belittles the punishment for the liar. •Abu Bakr al-Siddeeq RA said: “Beware of lying, for it has nothing to do with faith.” •Ibn al-Qayyim said: “The lying tongue is like some faculty that is no longer working, indeed it is even worse than that, for the most evil thing a man may possess is a lying tongue.” No fool-fool May Allah Guide Us.
