I am down for what Damon is saying, with less emphasis on the Declaration of Independence. Trouble is it’s like middle aged white guys are FINALLY starting to preach the same message the oppressed have been illustrating for decades (remember Russel Brand a couple of weeks ago); and while I am glad some privileged folks are waking up too, I am a little concerned our message will lose the intersectionality we need through a sort of white imperializing. Again though, I’ll take the megaphone Damon offers, I just want you all to be cognizant of the history of living resistance already present.
