YOU are invited to join the BIG DAY of SUPPORT PADDLE around Grace Islet on Monday August 11th, meeting at 8:30am Centennial Park in Ganges or on the water at 9am. We will be joined by several First Nations (Cowichan, Penelakut, Tsawout, Tsartlip and hopefully Tseycum) who will be bringing Dugout Canoes in the continued act of protection sacred burial grounds. Elizabeth May and other local elected officials are planning to attend in solidarity. If you have a kayak, canoe, row-boat, sail-boat, motor-boat, paddle-board or whatever please bring it down to the harbour. Also there will be room in some of the Dugout Canoes to fill seats. You can also support from Grace Point which is literally a stones through from the Islet. If some from Vancouver Island would like to join, we do have limited travel subsidies available, please message this page for details. This will be a big action leading into the Wednesday August 13th CRD meeting where a motion of Expropriation of Grace Islet will be considered.
