YOUNG AND OLD JOIN THE CHERRY CHASE There were over 400 participants for the Cherry Chase at Chinaman’s Dam in Young yesterday where I came through with third place behind Brad Hetharia of Canberra and Jacob Tiernan in the men’s 10km. I was put to the test with some very experienced runners there including young Jacob Lucas, who has competed at a national level for cross country. In only its 2nd year, the Cherry Chase is a fantastic event run by the Young Youth Council and it was brilliant to see so many people there in support. Young is onto a great thing here and I’m sure this event will go from strength to strength in years to come.
