YOUR ENEMIES ARE STRONG BUT WRONG by idowuOMISORE Your enemies may appear strong, but they are wrong about you. They may rain criticisms, curses or cast aspersions on your abilities. Don’t be deterred. Keep your dreams alive and continue to run with the vision in your heart. Your enemies may be very influential in the society that they think they have all the power to torture you and truncate your treasured dreams. Never lose heart. Your enemies will indirectly help you achieve your dreams of greatness. They may think they have a foolproof strategy, they will soon realise that their foolproof strategy was actually miserably foolish. When the scribes and Pharisees saw Jesus Christ hanging helplessly on the Cross, they must have thought it was all over for Him. They were very wrong. They didn’t know they were helping him earn the powerful name in the heaven and earth – A name that opens doors, that changes the unchangeable, that reverses the irreversible and accomplishes the impossible. When Joseph’s brothers sold him, they must have thought they have successfully truncated his Dream. They were fatally wrong! They didn’t know they were helping him reach his Big Dream. When Lot chose the beautiful side of the coin, it appeared as if Abraham, his uncle was in a disadvantaged position, but the blessings of God was lavished on Abraham. See below a few tips; PRAISE Look for reasons to praise the Most High God who is stronger than the strongest. He can overpower your enemies. He can turn their minds upside down and they will begin to help you achieve your dreams without knowing. If you are presently in an unpleasant situation, it can be very painful but make efforts not to engage in self-pity or throw a pity party. I have heard that pity can push a person into the pit. Create an atmosphere of praise. Celebrate your victories in advance! Praise can put your life on a rise. Stop the pity party. Throw a praise party. Don’t give anyone an attitude. Go the way of gratitude and soon you will find reasons to rejoice. PRESENCE OF GOD When a man carries God’s Presence, he will always rise to the top. Even if he is a slave at the moment, royalty will soon invite him. It is only a matter of time. A man with God’s Presence cannot be an underdog. Even if such a man is thrown into the den of lions, he will come out untouched. If such a man is thrown into the fiery furnace, he will come out unhurt. If such a man eventually dies, he will be given a royal welcome into Heaven – the home of saints. The Presence of God makes all the difference. David said he anointed with oil in midst of his enemies. He said he will never be afraid even if he walks through the valley of the shadow of death. That’s the confidence God’s Presence generates! PRAYER Remind God of His promises to you as contained in His Word. Eyes have not seen, ears have not heard, neither has it entered into the heart of man what God has prepared for those that love him. The Word of God encourages us to ask until our joy is full. A man called Jabez in the Bible was not satisfied with his situation, so he prayed to the God of Israel and he received answers to his prayers. His coast was enlarged; he was lavished with blessings and protected from every source of grief. Turn away from your sins and cultivate a personal relationship with God. Your prayers will be answered too. PERSISTENCE I recall Calvin Coolidge’s quote at this point. He said “nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan “press on” has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race”. Wisdom has taught us that when the going gets tough, the tough gets going and tough times don’t last, tough people do.
