YOUR FUTURE IS THE TARGET QUOTE: “HELL PLANS YEARS IN ADVANCE TO WIPE OUT A CHAMPION” Text: “When Herod realized that he had been outwitted by the Magi, he was furious, and he gave orders to kill all the boys in Bethlehem and its vicinity who were two years old and under, in accordance with the time he had learned from the Magi” Matthew 2:16. Anyone with a glorious future will encounter tribulations, and will have to fight battles. Sometimes, where there is no adequate spiritual fortification, one may end up helplessly bottled or caged, thus making the fulfillment of such destiny outrightly impossible. Between you and every goal that you wish to achieve, there is a series of obstacles and the bigger the goal, the bigger the obstacles. The devil being a spirit being can sense what you will become and he can perceive the intensity of your glory and he will raise Pharaoh or Herod including household enemies to stop you. A brother was so fed up with life sometimes ago and he actually planned suicide. But one day, just as he was busy planning on what next to do, a pastor called and asked him: ‘when did Moses become a champion?’ he replied: when he was three months old! What the pastor said next was his turning point and that’s the focus of today’s message. The pastor said: ‘hell can plan eighty years in advance to wipe out a winner; the battle is not over your past; it is not even over your present; the battle is over your future’! Suddenly, something inside of the frustrated man arose and he began to scream: ‘I shall not die…’ Psalm 118:17. Herod was not really angry about the birth of children nor was he uncomfortable that little Jesus was born. But he was furious when he realized that the future of Jesus would be a threat to his kingdom. Imagine the number of infants that were murdered at his order. Have you asked why your battles are so strange and perpetual inspite of all your prayers? Satan actually aims at your future! Arm your subconscious with this fact, guard your utterances; mind who you discuss vital issues of your life with, work hard, refuse to quit, remain within the circumference of God’s grace and be relentless in prayers. No matter how strong the storm is, it will subside. Your destiny shall be fulfilled; you will advance by grace to stardom. Your best days are still ahead. They are worth waiting for. Remain blessed!
