YOUR LIFE IS LIKE A MIRROR... Life is like a mirror, A mirror always gives reflections on what stand in front of it, It give signals on what confronts it and it send a true colour on whatever face it. Mirrors provides a copy on how the origin is shaped. Thats how our life are, They are like a mirror... The bible tells us that we are created in Gods image. Genesis 1:27...So God created man in his own image, male and female he created them. And this isnt about only about the physical appearance but our mind-set, our life style are expected to reflect the way He is (His holiness, Peace, Glory, etc..). As your life is a mirror, the question today is : Who is your life reflecting ? The things you do in life, The acts you practice, the words that comes out of your mouth days after days, Relationship you are involved in. Where are you getting the signals, From which sources are you capturing dear ? Unless something/somebody stand in front of the mirror then nothing will appear in it, likewise to life too least somebody/something stand on the front of your life then there will be questions mark. The concerns now is : What or who is standing in front of you Beloved ? Who are you copying, What is influencing you to be who you are today ? John 8:42...Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from and now I am here. I havent come on my own but he sent me. Why is my language not clear to you ? Because you are unable to hear what I say. You belong to your father the devil and you want to carry out your fathers desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. Yet because I tell the truth, you do not believed me. Can any of you prove me guilty of sin ? If I am telling the truth. Why dont you believe me ? He who belongs to God hears what God says. The reason you do not hear is that you don not belong to God. Is your life reflecting the devil dear ? A mirror is item that doesnt lie, it give a true colour of its origin and my point here is : Its by fruits that you bear that you are known who is standing in front of you. What fruits are you bearing ? When the Devil is starring at you, Is he seeing himself there in you ? In new testament we are told of a man Judas, a mirror that was expected to reflect Christ Jesuss image but agreed to betray him instead and allowed Satan to stand in front of his mirror (Life). Luke 22: 3...Then Satan entered Judas called Iscariot, one of the twelve and Judas went to the chief priests and the officers of the temple guard and discussed with them how he might betray Jesus. Are there some Judas reading this ? Maybe you arent a betrayer of handing Jesus to the ruler, Chief priests but there was a time you were serving God but now you have sold yourself for the benefit of gaining money. Are you a betrayer ? Somehow you were walking in footsteps of Jesus but secretly you have differently visions of destroying him and this are people who sin in secret (Fornicating secretly, stealing secretly,intoxicating yourself with liquor secretly), When you do those kind of stuff then know, You are a betrayer ,you are the second Judas. I wonna dwell with this question : Who is in your mirror, When the devil stare at your life, Is he saying (Thats definitely how I look, you are my copy) Is the devil seeing himself in you ? How nasty if your life (mirror) is reflecting the devils image. Its a pity if you are real possessing the devils quality. My brother and sister, When God The Creator looks at your life, Is he seeing himself or there is a strange face ? I wonder how many of us have looked in the mirror and you arent seeing yourself but a strangers face. I assume your question will be : Who is this now ? Thats exactly how its with God, If you arent reflecting his character then WHO ARE YOU ? Mathew 7: 23.. And then I will profess unto them, I never knew you, Depart from me you workers of iniquities. God has created you and I as a special mirrors, A mirror with a power that can capture or power to deny, power to turn your back on things that hesitate you, power to change your view unto something that stand in front of you. The book of Mathew give us a cruel on how Jesus was tempted and his reactions unto Satan make him unique every now and again. Mathew 4:9...The devil say unto Jesus All this I will give you, If you will bow down and worship me. Jesus said to him : Away from me, Satan! For its written : Worship the LORD your God and serve him only. I wonder which answers does your heart holds, When devil stood you on highest building and make all those empty promises, I wonder how you will respond to such invitation. Pauls words to the Philippians were a lesson that you and I have to learn and implement, Our mirrors must imitate Christs humility. Philippians 2:2...Then make my joy complete by being like minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. Verse 5: Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus. I say all this things because one day we are all going to stand before the King (A man who hold NO room for corruption, He accepted NO bribes) and mind you, this question may come up : Who were you reflecting while on earth ? I real want you to examine yourself, Maybe as I am saying this, In your heart you know Yes, my mirror isnt reflecting God at all, There is a strangers face in my life that displease the LORD. The characters, the fruits that I bear arent the one God signal me to be. Judas repented though he concluded his life with a silly decisions, He felt the remorse on betraying Innocent blood, How about you this morning ? Are you going to change how you view things, Are you going to be the mirror that reflect God or you will be where the devil move, you move also. Satan will come to sift you as a wheat but PRAY that your faith will not fail and when you have turned back, Strengthen your brothers. YOUR LIFE IS A MIRROR....
