YOUR NEW YEAR RESOLUTION SHOULD BE: Get a Coronary Calcium Score (CAC Score) done! If you are age 40+ and have heart disease in your family (You Probably Do), You really must get a CAC Score done. If ordered by your physician, insurance will pay. It costs about $100 these days, is a non-invasive CT Cat Scan test, takes about 20 seconds max and uses about the same xrays as a chest xray. The CAC Score accurately predicts the volume of plaque in your coronary arteries and your risk of having a heart attack. Why havent you heard about this? WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU WANT TO KNOW THIS?? Heart Disease kills 65% of people and in 40% of those, their 1st symptom was Death. That means that 40% had NO warning symptoms or signs in advance. You really dont have the luxury of waiting for your doctor to tell you, do you? Thats why you want to know....AND NOW YOU CAN do something to proactively Reverse your heart disease and avoid having a heart attack altogether......
