Being Born in Skilpatfontein Marapyane (lefiswane), his family had to move to Makapaanstad where he was introduced to the hip hop music. Not even a year past he had to move to Pankop and based on what was happening around him and the fact that he was introduces into a new way of life, he started writing songs as a way of expressing himself.he finally was moved to Vaalbank in Kwandebele where he completed his matric, however before matric he had grown very much in music. Music as an art captured his mind, body and soul for Donald and it somehow became a place of restoration subliminally until he started recording his first son over two radios using one radio for beats and the other for vocals. �?Extranz’ the first group he was in was then formed, with cats like 2T and even after the group fell apart Donald felt the need to prosper in music. It is doring this time he got the name �?lava d’ (lover d – due to romantic lyrics that he wrote). After completing grade12 lava d got a recording deal with Bizart entertainment where the sky was the limit, this platform was a stepping stone towards his goals. At this time lava d rolled with cats that understood the game and he saw this as an opportunity to up his skills and at a later stage he shared stages with BIG South African artist like Mzekezeke, Chomi, Senyaka, Mzambia, Simphiwe Dana etc. The hunger and determination grew in him to become a better person and radio was the next step for lava d to understand the entertainment industry even better. Joining Mutse Community Radio Station (MCRS) as a volunteer was the next step where he hosted an afternoon show, left for jo’burg and came back to the station to host a Saturday Hip hop show and during that time he then became part of Carbon productions (pty) ltd which is a black owned company run by 2 brothers from Senotlelo in Mpumalanga which will soon release his upcoming album,and the moment he is doing morning breakfast show, week days 7-9am on moutse community radio and the power of hip hop every saturday 12pm-3pm
