YOUTH, GOVERNANCE AND RESTORING DECENCY IN POLITICS - WHY ARE ON LINE ACTIVISTS NOT BACKING EJIKE IKEZUAGU? Many online activists in SE are disenchanted with the status quo and those we called older generations who colonised governance, recycling themselves and perpetuating inefficiency and corruption. Many had called for the old generations to quit politics and exit the corridors for power. We argue that younger blood will bring in fresh ideas as well as enthrone dynamism and decency in politics. I personally argue that the political establishments in the SE need rebooting for a better governance that would deliver the greatest goods to the greatest numbers our people. I also noted that decadence in political system is due to abdication of the honest people and domination of the stage by thugs forcing the gentle people to run for their dear lives. Some others criticise the absence of honest young people in elections for political offices. I am rather puzzled that one of the online activists EJIKE IKEZUAGU had taken a bold step into the political arena, but none of those online activists clamouring for young blood and fresh ideas are supporting him. It begs the question how many of us are therefore sincere in our pronouncements. I support Ejike Ikezuagu for I know not the others coming out. He is a young man enough and the type we ask to venture into the ring of politics. Why are we supporting others in the same camp with those we are fed up with? I support the youth initiative he is piloting on the 13th of December in Owerri. I urge people to support him and support his ideas. We want people to venture in and he has done that! What therefore is our problems? President Obama started and people never took him seriously - even his current vice - Joe Biden seemed to think during primaries that Obama lacked the ingredients to be a president - we now know differently. I would be glad for big hitters online to tell us why they are not in this young mans camp?
