YPG: Operation between Rojava and Sinjar continues YPG (Peoples Defense Units) Press Centre has announced in a written statement that the attacks of ISIS gangs aming to occupy Kobanê Canton of West Kurdistan, Rojava, continued on the 97th day. The ISIS groups are reported to have lost strength and moved into defensive position across the Kobanê town as result of severe blows inflicted by YPG/YPJ fighters. The statement said that the ISIS groups are now trying to accomplish a result by launching mortar attacks on the town centre. According to the statement, YPG/J fighters launched an offensive against the gang groups on Aleppo road on the southern front last night, killing at least 2 members of the ISIS gangs. Short-time clashes between YPG/J and ISIS groups also erupted on the eastern front, yet the number of casualties couldnt be verified. Sinjar-Rojava corridor operation continues The statement further reported that the operation launched by the YPG/YPJ fighters in the area between Rojava and Mount Sinjar on 18 December is continuing. The village of Kenan south-west of Jazaa was recaptured from the ISIS and liberated following fierce clashes last night.
