Ya know as I read the comments on the MRT and local news stations articles on their fb pages it kind of saddens me to see us local folk telling the new people to get the hell out of here. What happen to our west texas hospitality we use to be proud of ? Us in the oil industry will agree.....it needed to slow down a bit. But wishing for people to lose their jobs and things get back to normal .....careful what you wish for . Goodbye are the days you can sell a car for sticker price. So long those great retail sales your store has been having . No more 15 bucks a hour at McDonalds . You are gonna have half built apartments - houses - business that have closed. Look at what the boom has brought ? I get it I hate the traffic, the long lines and everything else that came with it. Not all the people that moved here are riff raff. Now we are gonna have a increase in crime, still bad traffic , alot more pets being dumped at the local shelters . Inflation will hit us because alot of these people will stay and try to make it work till the price of oil comes back up. So maybe we need to mind our manners and keep biting our tongue and wear that seat belt and pray we dont have a ghost town after all this is said and done . Thanks for reading ....
