Yachats, Or Part IV Close to perhaps some 30 years (say, mid to late 1980s) back, I was celebrating our family Yachats outlet/beach/Gramps & Grandmother memories (from 1950s) with my then five/six or so years-old beloved sons (Chris and Nick), right down along the south side of Yachats River close to mouth, about where I took these pics (just the other day with Bridget, my beloved spouse), and lo and behold my cousin John Bendele was there on the same beach, also connecting with our shared DeRyke roots there (his mother Mary and my mother Peggy, along with Rita and Marty, were the four daughters of Aloyisius and Lillian DeRyke) and remarkably we simply found each other--not by our own planning by my the guidance of the spirit and our family lifeblood--one summer day there. Common sense of place drew us together. Now, with the great initiative of Martina Brumley (daughter of Rita) we can all connect anew, here via FB but perhaps one day ahead there at Yachats, we shall see! And of the four daughters, our beloved Aunt Marty lives today in Tampa, and Mary Suggs (John Bendeles younger sister) will be able to share these pics with the Marty, so may you all enjoy!
