Yahoo… the end of the week and I am ending it feeling rather relaxed which must be a first in the nearly three years of working on Cesar’s Way magazine. As much as we hope that Fridays will be “easy going” they usually end up being the most stressful day of the week, but … not today. Everything is going according to plan on our October/November issue – we really do make a great team! So are you ready for the weekend? It is my birthday weekend and James started it early by buying a chocolate cake today… this was partially to cheer up Aaron who was home with a bad chest infection. Needless to say my lunch and snack WAS chocolate cake – nom nom. On the fur kid front… well if you read my post of earlier today, you will know that the naughty Twins ran up the tree again and needed an emergency rescue again – Patti thinks they are making a game of it now – eep. They are just lucky their Dad is around as I am afraid of heights so if it were only me a home they would still be up there. Little schnitzels! When James was maneuvering the ladder, little Arty stretched down and moved it… as if to say, “a little more to the right, Dad” – needless to say, The Dad didn’t take it in the good humour I am sure Arty intended it! The girls have had a good day… they have been hanging out on the bed with their beloved “boy” – Sheba idolizes Aaron and Sammy thinks she and her sock are safe from the cats there. They are eagerly awaiting their game of ball and I am sure Arthur and Lewie will be ready for their dinner soon too. I am hoping that tonight Sammy will willingly to go for her pre-sleep wee – as small as she is, she can be so obstinate. And then who suffers? The Momma! At 2h00 this morning I was woken by Sammy at the side of the bed making her “I-need-a-wee-whimper”. So there I was, in as little clothes as possible (sorry for the image but I am still battling the battle of the hot flush) traipsing to the kitchen with two happy dogs and, like magic they appear, two kitties. It is no mean feat to get Sheba and Sammy OUT the door but NOT allow two very eager kitties out. They were miffed so I offered them some food – it worked for a bit. And then I had to co-ordinate getting the girls back in and NOT losing the Twins. Finally we all went back to bed and then Arthur felt the need to purr, knead (“make biscuits” LOL) all over us. At one point I had to physically remove him gently from James’s shoulder as he was heading towards James’s sleeping head. Of course this morning when I mention my night time activities, James had no idea. I could have been beamed up by aliens and he would be none the wiser – well until the morning. Worryingly when I mentioned this – and I may be wrong… but he got a glimmer of hope in his eyes :). So wishing you and your fur kids a wonderful Friday evening and a wonderful weekend. PS. Remember to get your August/September issue of Cesar’s Way magazine if you don’t have it yet. You will enjoy it – I promise. DD
