Yall I have to rant for a second because you are wigging me out. Ebola is one of my favorite things. (No Im not kidding.) Epidemilogically speaking it is one of the most unsuccessful diseases out there. The symptoms present in such a way that typically keeps new hosts at bay. I mean someone who is bleeding out their eyes, ears, nose and bum, doesnt exactly invite a warm hug right? The reason it is so virulent in third world countries is because many of them dont have the resources or knowledge to practice even the most basic of health care. Not to mention culturally, they dont deal with the ill and dead in the same antiseptic way we do in America. And it is not the first time it has been on US soil. The CDC housed monkeys chock full of the stuff for years. If you really want something to lie awake and worry about at night, consider all the unaccounted for smallpox. I might be willing to throw down some money that Russia has some stored somewhere. And we havent vaccinated for that in how many years?! Rant over.
