Yall might not want to miss reading the Opinions page of todays Journal Scene. Letters to the Editor....there are two, and they are about the upcoming hotel complex. The second one is written by a retired architect. It is interesting what he offers, and I am pretty sure I agree with all he states, and of course I have several other concerns to add to what he states. This retired architect surely seems to have put a lot of thought into what he wrote! I am personally appreciative that he took time to submit the letter. It is thorough. One point he ended his letter is about the Board of Architectural Review and how they (if allowed) can affect something better. We deserve it. The first letter which appears is written by one of the Board of Architectural Review. It is a nice letter too. The writer, Mr. Dixon, concluded with Again, you make us proud to be your neighbors and a part of your BAR. Thank you for coming out on Monday and we look forward to our future meetings where together we can see this project and many others to a successful conclusion. There could be some other meetings to be announced in all of this architectural revision process that we as citizens can take part. This was mentioned during the Monday night session I attended conducted by the BAR. That, we will have to look for to possibly come to pass. The Nov. 12 Town Council will be with a session for information purposes. I understand the Appleby Co. will be part of this.
