Yamaha Factory Racing completed a successful day of testing at Misano. The factory riders in Valentino and Jorge tested a new 2014 spec engine and a few new parts for next year.Valentino Rossi was leading the afternoon session by +0.001 secs ahead of Marc but ended the day in third overall. He ran a total of 75 laps and his best lap time was 1.33.660.Commenting on a successful day of testing, Rossi said, 'Fortunately, it was a good day, the weather was good. It was important to make a good day of testing at Misano because we had much we needed to try. I used the race bike and also the bike where there was something new year. At the end, it has been a good test. It was important because we found some improvements in some point of view, small details but a good way to continue. We made a lot of comparisons between the two, but at the end the performance is very similar. Now a few days of rests and then we will be ready for Aragon.'
