Yanno, those times, when you make a plan and it just doesnt go? That happened to me today. Took my camera to the marsh/beach, to get some shots of the many Canadian Geese that had been flying in for the last hour. Well, I go down there and not a goose in sight. So, I continued on, a bit disappointed. We got onto the beach via the marsh, and it was like a plover festival going on lol. In the 5 years Ive lived here Ive yet to get a shot of the Piping Plover. Ummm, I must say that I am glad that there werent any geese and I just pushed onto the beach. I sat on a log in the sand and stayed real quiet and wow, they got pretty close at times. Ive tried to get shots of them before but they are lightening quick and very difficult to capture. Thats always been my experience anyways. I think I hit the jackpot today. I love these little guys.
