Yay Thank Goodness and Greatness that "The Powers In Charge" have changed and started to call RSD a Disease in 2011!!! I too, have moved on with the 5 % percentage of scientists that do call Causalgia, Intractable Pain,Chronic Pain, Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Syndrome and Complex Regional Pain a "DISEASE" because it truly does meet the requirement of calling it so! RSD/CRPS/ is a illness where you do have a line on the cause/event of it(small or big)(scratch-then infection, turning an ankleover-then-brusing, car accidents-then surgeries-then RSD etc. The bottom line is the "title" of our illness is outdated and incorrect medically before 2011! RSD is 100% pain that has lasted more than 3 to 6 months, it is then referred to as Chronic Pain or Intractable Pain or Causalgia Pain which eventually damages the partial peripheral nerves and the peripheral nervous system which encompasses nerves that extend from the central nervous system of the brain and spinal cord to serve limbs, organs, vascular tissues and vessels etc and every scientist knows this a Disease, not a Syndrome. The more we call it a disease via peir pressure of the RSD, CRPS Community the more chance they will find the proper medical term to call it that!Gentle Hugs Kim Mackie Courtney aka Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy of Atlantic Canada~"Know Pain No Pain!"
