Yay for cleaning Saturday! Lol Sorry Im posting late. I actually slept in until 8:00!!! That never happens!! After a long week, I guess my body needed it. Lets get going. Revelation 4: We shift gears here. No longer is the focus on the seven churches, but on the throne of God and events taking place in heaven. We see God seated upon His throne. He must of shone like jewels... jasper and carnelian. A rainbow shines like an emerald around His throne. Can you imagine John trying to put into words what he was seeing? Around the throne are 24 thrones with 24 elders. I had to look this up. There is no identification of who the elders are. The reference is made to humans not angels, and probably represents elders of the church. The body of Christ. The description continues. Lightening and thunder, seven burning torches, a sea of glass like crystal, before the throne. The living creatures on each side of the throne: a lion, an ox, a human, an eagle. They have six wings, covered in eyes, and praise God without ceasing... Holy, holy holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come! The elders fall prostrate and worship God. They cast their crowns before God. The only worthy one is God, for He created all. I wish I had time to do more research. Id like to know more about the four creatures and their representation. I did read that four is the number of the earth, like seven is the number of God. I didnt know this. If anyone has anything to share to give us more insight, please post it.
