Yay or Nay? This is my last official post of work completed this year. Not a bad sale for one of the many trade shops I supply. I made this for them last summer so Im betting they will be quite pleased of the sale in the Christmas run up. I had it back to size to the customer yesterday. The central stone is an 8.5mm x 6mm Emerald-cut Natural Yellow Sapphire, with tapered Baguette diamonds as the accent stones. The whole thing was set high with 18ct yellow gold claws to the central stone. The rest of the ring was made in platinum. I must say that an Emerald cut Yellow Sapphire is going to struggle to have any fire in it no matter what setting it is put in but this is sometimes the battle we have at the bench.
