Yay or nay? Friday 23rd. This mornings Yes or no ring is a slightly iced up piece, for those of you that like a lot of extra diamonds. This ring has been made in 18ct White gold (unusually) and is a customer re-make culminating in the use of three sets of stones from three of her old and unworn pieces of jewellery. The small diamonds in the head came from one ring, the two larger diamonds in the head (North and South ones) along with the 0.50ct central stone came from another and finally the stones down each of the four shoulders came from her last piece (a rather worn out Et). She wanted a split shank and Halo combination but the only way to do a Halo was that the central stone had to be rub-over set, as its size compared with the ones around it would have left a big gap of metal were it claw set, between it and the small stones arranged around it. Kind of odd too is the larger North and South stones in the Halo but now it is all cut up to a Fishtail style of Micro-setting and finished polished it looks kind of grand in my view. The more I look at it, in fact, the more it grows on me. One of my odd kids for sure but not one I have to hide in the back room upstairs when we have visitors. My customer will recieve this today! Im very pleased with how this one turned out, so I hope she is too. :-) What do the Ladies of the page think if it though? Does all this extra sparkle do it for you? Cold Friday and one where I have to sleep on my workshop floor tonight. Important client coming in tomorrow so need to be there and hate having to travel in on a Saturday (it just seems wrong on so many levels). So a nice long evening of work tonight, a civilised breakfast tomorrow and home again probably mid afternoon. Hope you all have a great Friday and a lovely weekend. See you all on the other side! ;-) Kindest Regards. H.G.Bespoke
