Yea, I hear the noise in the West about freedom of speech or expression. Remind me again: Why is Chelsea Manning serving a 35-year prison sentence for releasibg a video that exposed the killing of innocent Iraqi civilians by the US soldiers? Wheres the freedom of expression there? Remind me again of why is Edward Snowden in self-imposed exile for exposing the USs violations of privacy? remind me again: what is freedom of expression? Why is Julian Assange not allowed to go to his country of adoption, Ecuador for exposing the WikiLeaks video? Is it because he is on the wanted list by our Big Brother, The US? Why did the German court refuse to let Edward Snowden to give evidence on the US surveillance of little brothers. Was it not to protect the US-German diplomatic relations? Why was the Dalai Lama refused visa by the S. African government? Was it not to protect the SA-China diplomatic relations? Remind me again, what is the freedom of expression? So, all these self-appointed caretakers of the right to free expression must give us a break - all the noise by JZ and his ANC that the ANC subscribes to the Declaration of Human Rights, when his ministers refused (twice) to allow the Dalai Lama freedom to criticise China and still be free to travel wherever he wants without prejudice. Someone, please remind me: what is freedom of expression? Do we begin to realise it when 17 died in France? Even this posting is being watched. And you tell me I have freedom of expression. I subscribe to the notion that freedom of expression is for the rich. But true freedom of expression will be experienced when Jesus comes. Come Lord Jesus, come!!
