Yeah Im in. Been using my Cameo digital cutter for lots of things in relation to clay, especially making thin foam (from Dollar Tree) for templates and texture for clay. Packing tape applied to foam while still on mat after cutting enables me to pull off mat and then apply packing tape to other side. Then tease out the positive with tape on one side ( I call this the innie) leaving negative with all bits in place on the other side (I call this the outtie because it creates a bas relief when pressed onto clay.). See my experiments here: paulinesstuff.blogspot and here: s2.photobucket/user/paulinepdm/library/Cameo%20Silhouette%20Digital%20Cutting?sort=3&page=1. This week I cut lots of stencils out of very thin sheets cut from page protectors (polypropylene). Reusable and quite pliable, they stick to clay (greenware) as well as paper with biggest disadvantage being you cant see them esp the glare proof stuff. So I used them first with acrylic paint in a notebook just to get paint on them so I wouldnt lose them. Now I am back to making silkscreens but find the Silhouette software great for the darkest images and for page layouts, sizing etc then printing on inkjet acetate (transparencies) to get ready to expose and make silkscreens. (No frames easy to use in small places etc. Sooooo my digital cutter and the software are invaluable to me in clay work.
