Yeah big names are free agents this season. Here is my list of who I want and why... Sure I could be listing the big names but i am factoring in the cap and the upcoming draft as well.. Remember this is not madden. You cant just get the best fa in every position.. After cutting harvin and some others like cjnotso2k we should have around 50m to spend this year. But lets not forget, big contract eat at cap the following years aswell.. Lets take a look: Qb: my stand is that I dont like the qbs coming out this year. If we would draft a qb they would not be ready to play this year. I also do not feel comfortable with a rookie learningfrom geno smith.. Thats why Im going to stay with geno in the new system and sign a vet as Insurance. Sign: Matt Moore Why: should be cheap and knows his roll as a back up. He has pushed every starter to be the best they could be. Lets get real guys the jets are not winning the super bowl this year. No need to go all in at qb this year when next year there are better options. Roll with smith, Moore, and late round qb and reevaluate next year. Rb: ivory is a monster but I would like to have a speed running back to complicate him. A runner with a different style of running who can kill a tiered d after ivory bruises them up. Sign: cj spiller Why: ok I hear you guys already! No no no we need demarco Murray. Sure I would love Murray and would go crazy if he became a jet but rb in the nfl is a 2 sometimes 3 headed monster nowadays. Having ivory bruising the d early and spiller coming in against a tiered d would work magic. He can also return kicks, And catch the ball in the backfield. Im rolling with ivory spiller and Powell if he stays if not Im picking up a 3rd rb late in the draft Wr: decker is a great number 2 and kearly is a strong slot rec. keeping harvin forces decker as our one,and him being our 2.. I only feel comfortable as him in the slot. We already have money tied in on kearly. Sign: draft Why:ahhhh why?? Ill tell you why. Dez and Cobb arent going anywhere. If Thomas doesnt get tagged us signing him will take up about 18 mil on him and decker alone.im not willing to tie that amount of cash at 2 wr. Maclin would be nice but again he is a 2.. Get me cooper or get a wr like Larry fitz on a short year contract for the time being. Te: I love amaro but he cant block. He needs to improve! Sign:no one I would keep our te as is no need to invest more Ol: not a ol guru so Im not going to throw things out there cause we need to get younger. Dl:here is our strength. In the next couple years we will have a lot of money tied up in our current Line. This is why I pass on suh and extend our youngsters and just add deph. Lb: we our old and slow right here. Sign orakapo Why: every free-agent is old as dirt and cant see anyone worth taking may have to look into the draft or add massive depth here and wait it out. Harris is a guy we need to keep based on the market but no more then 2 years with most of the money up front Db: here is where we need to improve like Rex,Bowles plays man and we need cbs! With our strong line a good backfield will be dangerous. Sign revis/rolle or cromarti/taylor/rolle Why: revis milliner combo may be a little suspect because we dont know what milliner is going to give us. I like cromarti milliner and Ike Taylor with rolles out there is a scary thing. Remember! A strong line helps the backfield. No need to get a cromarti and revis combo and just give up on the current cb we have. You want to stay young and you dont want to tie money This will still keeps us at about 20 mil under the cap. Thats when you can fill areas with luxury. A vet at a short deal or even a cromarti and revis combo for the next 2 years. Remember Rome took time to build
