Yeah, no. First of all, for some reason and fortunate are both references to luck. Luck always plays a role - bigger than we can fit in our brains. I know why he doesnt like the term - because he thinks it implies the absence of hard work or that he didnt have to sacrifice. That is not mutually exclusive of luck. He was lucky to be born in a country where that could happened. He was lucky he didnt get ran over by a car at some point. He was lucky to be born at all. Luck is a major component of any success and any failure, just as the context of our lives are a major part. Ignoring any of them is bad mojo.
