Yeah so... I had someone at work call me a pain in the butt.. maybe they said ass .. hmm not sure.. and they sort of repeated it over and over.. to which each time I said, yes, yes I am.. it is true.. Personally, I like me just the way I AM; assertive, bold, outspoken, an empath, impulsive, generally an optimist (until I am influenced by negative vibes around me..) andddddddd I truly LOVE the kiddos..and will fight tooth and nail for them, my temper sometimes is quick especially when proved or I am annoyed, but like a shortlived storm.. in minutes it is over and forgotten, I forgive fairly easily but still have to work on those things that sting my inner child that has not completely healed yet, I love everyone even if I dont like everyone. I am very softhearted.. and yet my words can be sharp.. then on the flipside very soothing..there is so much more to me than what I wish to discuss here. So, I got to thinking about it.. So Jesus had 12 Apostles.. Andrew was a leader.. he was a assertive, empathic (he could read people and know their intentions) hmm he was a good organizer.. (yeah I need to work on that maybe in my house) but in other instances.. I do not have any trouble directing which is why I excelled at it in college. Then there was Simon (Peter) He was an excellent orator, impulsive and an optimist .. Jesus rebuked him several times but never kicked him off the team. He was a quick thinker and often came up with not well thought out plans.. which he later learned to discuss with his brother Andrew first, before presenting. Peter had no trouble speaking about what was on his mind There is James. Some might say he was bi-polar. He had a nasty quick temper, juxtaposed to his quiet nature. James talent was being to be able to see things from all points of view, outside the box.. he would now be referred to as a Global person/learner. Both he and his brother John were headstrong. Then there is John well he was conceited, bigoted and intolerant, yep he was, but he was also dependable. Then there is Phillip.. no imagination, was a show me first kinda guy but, he was methodical oh and he had a bad habit of interrupting Jesus when he was speaking.. but Jesus never reprimanded him for it There is Nathaniel, who was honest and sincere, he could bounce between moments of being profound and other times he was the coyote of the crew.. with his humor. he was also a good storyteller Then Matthew who handled the finances ..his shortfall, he was materialistic We all know the story of Thomas the doubter, he came from a dysfunctional home. Thomas strong points Loyalty and Honesty. Thomas’s great strength was his superb analytical mind coupled with his unflinching courage We have the twins James and Judas aka who were also called Thaddeus and Lebbeus were fisherman.. they were just happy to be part of this mission ..but Judas was bold. Simon the Zealot was the recreation planner.. he kept the guys sane, he was also a rebel and today we would see him on the front line of protests, his downfall he was materialistic and finally Judas Iscariot he was a good businessman Judas was an only son of unwise parents. When very young, he was pampered and petted; he was a spoiled child. As he grew up, he had exaggerated ideas about his self-importance. He was a poor loser. He had loose and distorted ideas about fairness; he was given to the indulgence of hate and suspicion. He was an expert at misinterpretation of the words and acts of his friends. All through his life Judas had cultivated the habit of getting even with those whom he fancied had mistreated him. His sense of values and loyalties was defective. And even though he betrayed Jesus.. Jesus looked upon him with pity... Well.. after reviewing all of the personalities of the Apostles it appears to me that they were also at one time or another a Pain in the Ass but Jesus loved them anyway.. Glad to know Jesus chose people who had some of the same personality traits and strengths as well was weaknesses that I have.. and that he loves me as I AM..
