Yeah, too bad the ending date really only represents the signing of the armistice, aka cease-fire. Since no peace treaty was ever agreed to, nor signed, the Korean war was never ended, and still goes on, with monthly fence-line shootings. Thats right folks, the monthly shootings, sometimes from north toward south and sometimes vice versa, mean that by UN definition of the armistice that was agreed to by both sides, we are STILL in a de facto state of war, which allows BOTH sides to continue full R&D, maintain wartime troop, equipment and munitions counts-unrestricted, indefinitely. This was done this way on purpose.
