Year 2+Day 325: We had quite a scare at the lake today. Long story short, Tyrel and his wheelchair nearly ended up in the water. With the grace of God and the calm, confident control of a young man everything ended very well!!! It gave all of us quite a scare , even Tyrel. The difference between Tyrel and the rest of us...he rebounded much faster!!! You would think that we would be used to these situations but that doesnt really happen. I saw the fear in Tyrels eyes and felt it in my gut. Its real and it doesnt ever go away!! But once the situation is handled it is one more opportunity to re-evaluate the meaning of LIFE. It is short, it is unpredictable, and it is happening NOW. On a good note, Tyrel took a dip in the lake. He had a blast and was able to maneuver better than last weekend. And spunky...yes he was...all day long :) Today I want to thank the young man who put Tyrels needs and safety above his own. Amazing person!!!!! #blessedbyangels
