Year 3+: Its been a while since Ive updated and I apologize!! Tyrel is doing well in Wyoming. He is slowly but surely regaining the strength in his arms, legs, and core. Its astonishing how much he lost due to the inability to transfer himself to and from the bathroom at the group home. Although it may seem trivial for some, the physicality of transfers makes a huge difference in Tyrels strength and balance. And obviously the independence is priceless for his mental state. His parents have been diligent in getting him to various doctors appointments. Theres an order in which things have to take place regarding his care and he is checking them off one by one. Hes had two appointments with his new counselor. It sounds like the counselor is addressing the most important issues first...absolutely perfect. I look forward to Tyrel developing a relationship where he feels safe and will share his troubles. That will help him get out of this rut! I miss Tyrel, that will never change. However his happiness is my priority and its sure good to hear him laugh again!! #JustKnow
