Year 3+: Tyrel wanted to go to the mountains...so we did! We had an awesome day driving through the mountains, getting a little muddy, and watching the weather change every five minutes. We picked up a couple souvenirs for Tyrel. Per his request, we grabbed a pine come and a small branch from a pine tree. He loved it. He was exhausted after bouncing around in the truck on all the dirt roads but he said it was worth it. I miss seeing our beautiful mountains. There is something about them that makes me feel so peaceful and grounded. I grew up around these mountains and theres a part of me that needed the majestic view, the invigorating smell of pine trees, and the simplicity of it all. Its Gods country... I know Tyrel misses simplicity and I long for it! The reality we are faced with is everything but simple. Its not impossible but it is far from easy. Each day brings new challenges, tough decisions, and a reality that breathes down your neck. Our saving grace is taking each day for what it is and cherishing what/who is important. Thank God for the mountains, special people, and the ability to move forward!!
