Year ago tonight, got to Texarkana AR, final station on 3600+-mile bicycle tour Id meant to finish 2 years ago today. Was a hectic sprint all over Arkansas to arrive in Texarkana for my Mom & dem, 715 miles in 11 straight road days and anaging to touch Eureka Springs & Fayetteville before the southward descent from Hot Springs & the mountains. Got to visit Grandma in Texarkana one more time, the primary objective. Got to bike down the road to see the old family farm homestead at which Grandma grew up during the Depression, during the last week of 2013, first time Id done so in a long, long time. Big, big thanks to Aunt Mary & Uncle Bobby for taking time out of their Xmas Eve night to help shuttle me the last few miles to Mamas.
