Years ago, I needed a root canal. I was deathly afraid of the dentist and the work that I knew needed to be done. I found a local dentist, made the appointment, but barely made it past the waiting room. They were amazing, covering me in a warm blanket, putting ear phones on my ears and laughing gas in my nose (yay!). I was still scared but I made it through. Thus began a relationship of sorts, with their office, that would play a crucial role in teaching me to face my fears. Teaching me that I was in control and that I was stronger than those fears! I bring this up because I went there today to get a chipped tooth fixed. I went alone and didnt need gas this time. I didnt tremble and wasnt freaked out. They have been so patient with my journey and everyone there is so full of love. I write this for two reasons... 1) The best way Ive found to face my fears is by taking one slow step after another, heading straight for the scariest part. By the time you get to your terror, its less frightening than it looked from afar. I encourage you to stop avoiding all of your fears and take them on, one at a time, slowly, patiently, but pointedly. And 2) If youre in the DFW area and need an amazing dentist, this is the place to go!!! They will do whatever it takes to work with you and give you the best experience possible!! https://facebook/McKnightDental
