Years ago, I was fascinated by rhyming words so I coined a life philosophy to live by. I said The best you can do, is do the best you can. I was not much bothered by the fact that ones best may not be good enough. That we have to continually invest in getting better; for Gods purpose for us is far greater than mundane living. Now after learning from Maya Angelous “Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better.” And after listening to John C. Maxwells Improving yourself is the first step to improving everything else. I am revising my philosophy to: The best you can do, is be the best you can be. As my friend Paul Martinelli says, Be willing to sacrifice and put forth the effort necessary to get good. There are no short cuts that take the place of good old fashioned hard work.
