Years ago, late 80s, early 90s, I worked at Drake Business School as the Secretary to The Assistant Dean. One day, she took me to lunch as a reward for great work. We went to a Chinese Restaurant and had a great meal. While we were leaving, my nylons got caught on the chair and ripped. My boss said she going to call the manager over to get me a new pair. I was embarrassed. I didnt want to create a problem, so I said I would go to the store and get one. She said, that it was the restaurants fault and I should not have to spend my money. She called the manager over and told him about the issue. He said he would take care of it. Man was I surprise to see a female waitress return with a brand new and more expensive pair.. Just reinforcement that the wheel that squeak gets the grease.
